How Our Indoor Air Quality Assessment Works
Four steps, and you see every one of them.
- We listen first. You tell us what you have noticed: dust, smells, rooms that never feel right, or a recent remodel.
- We look inside. A technician runs an inspection camera through the supply and return trunks, the branches, the coil face and the blower compartment.
- We show you. You see the photos on site. They are the same pictures we see.
- We write it down. You get our findings and a plan that fits the building. Sometimes the honest plan is to wait.
How HVAC Cleanliness Relates to Indoor Air Quality
The EPA names three basic ways to improve indoor air. Control the sources. Bring in fresh air. Clean the air with filtration. Your HVAC system moves the air through every room, so a clean, well kept system supports all three. That is the honest link. The EPA also says duct cleaning has never been shown to prevent health problems, and it says to clean ducts only as needed. So we make no health promise. We show you what is in the system, and we tell you when cleaning makes sense: heavy dust and debris, signs of pests, or a remodel that left its mess behind.
What an HVAC Inspection Is Not
Our assessment is a visual inspection of the HVAC system, with cameras and a checklist. It is not environmental testing. We do not take air or surface samples. We do not test for mold, and we do not send anything to a lab. If you need that kind of answer, call an independent indoor air quality consultant. We are glad to work alongside one. If we see signs of mold in the system, we stop, photograph it and tell you. We are not a mold remediation contractor.
